listening to your laughter

It rings over me like music

It cuts me like a knife.

watching your smile.

It brightens me like the sun

It burns me like a flame.

Embraced by the night

smelling your scent

like roses it rushes to my head

like pepper it makes my eyes water.

Cloaked in Night

watching as you sleep.

Your chest rises

My heart stops.

and long to take your hand

As your tears break my heart

I cry and long to taste

I cry for your remorse.
